My 20p Spot Treatment!

Hey!

I just wanted to tell you all what I do to keep my spots at bay and also get rid of any nasty pesky ones that sneak their way through. I use Aspirin that costs me 20p for 16 tablets from Sainsburys! I've been using these for about the last year regularly but have used aspirin as an on the spot reducer for as long as I can remember.

To make an Aspirin face mask

You will need -
3 Aspirin (non coated are better)
A few drops of water
Something to mix it in
Honey (optional)

I make this without the Honey but I know a lot of people who make it with as they claim that it moisturises well with it, just crush the Aspirin and add a few drops of water to it to make a spreadable paste and apply it to a clean face. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse off with warm water, you can rub it into your face at this stage when you dampen it and it works as a really good exfoliator too. I notice instantly that after doing this my face is much fresher and softer to the touch, I apply a good moisturiser afterwards as well.

Aspirin spot treatment

You will need -
1 Aspirin
A few drops of water
Something to mix it in

Crush the aspirin, add a few drops of water and apply directly to the spot. Leave for about 5 minutes and tissue off, you should see a dramatic reducement of the spot over night. I normally do a follow up treatment the next night too just to make sure.

I do the mask about twice a week just to try and prevent any breakouts but will normally have a week off once a month so my skin isn't getting to used to it.

Why does it work? Aspirin breaks down into beta hydroxy acid which is found in many skin products including ones sold over the counter and high end ones, it has great exfoliating properties and also cleansing ones that help get right into the pores and clear them out.

If you are allergic to Aspirin don't use this!
Let me know if you try this or have used or are using this at the moment.

Thanks for reading

I also wanted to add that I used to be an Avon rep not to long ago and have loads of unopened, unused products mainly creams, jewellery and a few bits of make up so if anyone would be interested in buying them let me know in the comments and I will pop them up in a post. I am not going to use them, there is far to much of them or things are not to my taste and I could really do with a lot of the space back that they take up.

  5. @ LC - Thats so rubbish because this really does work :( Oh I would so hate for that to be the case for me, because I already have to be careful enough with what I put on my face because it can burn me so just stick to my tried and tested products xxx

@ Miss Savealitte - You are more than welcome, let me know if you try it and if it worked for you xxx
