Hey my treacles!
Since my Vera Wang Rock Princess ran out I have been longing to find a perfume that smells just a hint like it to replace it seeing as it was only limited edition and they don't stock it anymore :( So in my search high and low I have come by some really awful ones and some really nice one's for instance Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb, not a fragrance I would go for normally as I normally like scents with more of an edgy scent but this truly blew me away and I was very sad when it ran out a little while ago but I was still longing for a bit of Rock Princess smell then alas I found the joy that is Black XS.

What the website says - ' A woody, floral, fruity, mysterious elixir for a rebel princess with an audacious cheerful and sparkling top note thanks to pink pepper berries and cranberry, a charming feminine and mysterious middle note due to black violet and cocoa flower and a addictive, passionate, voluptuous trail to a bottom note with thanks to patchouli and black vanilla'
What I say - I think this is the perfect blend between Flowerbomb and Rock Princess, I am totally in love! When you first spray it you get a really feminine sweetish flowery scent that blends well with a long lasting chocolaty, vanilla flowery smell which I think is just amazing.
This perfume packs a good edge to it and I have been complimented several times on it since I got it, definitely found my new perfume love here! Plus its amazing value for what it is, a massive 80mls for around the £40 mark which is what you would pay for most 50ml or even sometimes a small 30ml perfume.
It comes in a gorgeous red bottle that you can see how much you have left in, with rose detailing on the front and the name printed just above it... This now takes pride of place on my dressing table.
To sum up this perfume I would say that it is indeed feminine, rebellious, mysterious and fun... Well worth trying out if you love perfumes that pack a bit of an edge like me!.

I smelt that in John Lewis the other day and it smell's similar to the ed hard perfume which I love :) x
ReplyDeleteI smelt the Ed Hardy one before and I just think its a little to sweet for me, where as this kinda starts off a bit sweet and flowery then just moulds into a nice altogether non sweet smell... Im so useless at describing smell haha!! xx

ReplyDeletemy all-time favorite is Chloe (original, in the square bottle with the lil' bow) which is simply stunning, definately recommend, a real signature scent :)
I've not smelt that one yet, so I will deffo give it a smell :) xx
