You Can 'Accessorize' With Make Up?!

Hey Sweeties!

So on Wednesday when I went out to do a spot of shopping I popped into Superdrug as I always have to do and spotted the Accessorize stand had some really great deals on...

Like these

5 Eyeshadow palette with Primer in Rebel £3.00 (Half price)

Merged Blusher in Starlet £5.50

Nail Polish in Orange Flash £2.00 (Half Price)

Then for buying 3 items of make up from Accessorize I then got this 4 Eyeshadow palette for FREE!!

4 Eyeshadow palette in Rock Star Free (£6.00 Normally)

Rock Star swatches!

So all of this lot cost me £10.50 which I think is an utter bargain, seeing as the blush is gorgeous, the nail polish is astounding and I can't seem to stop looking at my nails plus the Rock Star palette has the most amazing pigmentation I have seen in a long time with a buttery feel to it so really excited about using that now. I will say that the 5 Eyeshadows are a bit disappointing in the colour pay off but I am sure I can find something to do with them :)

Have you tried Accessorize make up? What do you think of it? Will you be checking out this offer before it finishes?

Let me know girls

Lush Lovin'

Hello you lovely lot!

Now I know last week I totally neglected Lush Lovin' as I forgot that it was Wednesday and posted something completely different *Slaps wrists* So this week I wanted to tell you all about...

Angels On Bare Skin

Inside

Before adding water

After adding water

Angels is a facial cleanser/exfoliater that is gentle enough to use every single day and smells absolutely divine!
It smooths out my skin leaving it looking even, fresh and glowing, this is because it has ground almonds in to exfoliate plus lavender and rose oils to help balance out the skin and calm it down.
This is now a stable in my daily skincare routine, it leaves my skin super soft afterwards too without drying out and I have actually noticed since using angels I am having less breakouts and my skin is noticeably clearer.

Have you used Angels? What do you think?

xxx

*Edit... My opinion on the smell has changed a bit, I think they have added more lavender to it as I now think it smells a bit odd but still works exactly the same way as it always has*

The Holy Grail Of Mascaras!

Hey girls!

So I have mentioned this mascara many a time before and featured in one of my Top 5's but thought it was time it actually had a post of its own as my love for it never seems to die and I don't think my love for it will, I always have a back up of it and am now on my 8th tube! The mascara in question you ask?....

Avon SuperShock Mascara £8.50 (On offer at the moment 2 for £10)

Brush, lots of lovely bristles!

Before

After (1 Coat)

After (2 Coats)

After (2 Coats)

I adore this mascara it just seems to make my lashes all big and fluttery!
It last all day long and never seems to flake or clump all my lashes together which is a major pet hate I have with a lot of other mascaras, you can also build it up as you can see from the above photos 1 coat is amazing and 2 is just brilliant! Sometimes when I am wearing this I get asked if I am wearing false lashes and 99% of the time will get 'omg look at your lashes' 'they are so long' 'your lashes are amazing' 'your eyes are so pretty' 'I wish I had your lashes' but I always thank my good old trustworthy mascara!

I think everyone should try this out at least once and it is always on some sort of offer, I have never even paid the full price for it but I would if I have to as I can't live without it!

Whats your favourite mascara? What do you think of this one?

Hope you guys are having a wonderful Easter and don't eat too many eggs ;)

Happy Hair Days :)

Hello you gorgeous bunch!

I am always after the next wonder product for my hair and try a lot of different shampoos and conditioners in my quest for happy healthy hair as that's where it all starts.

After trudging around my local Sainsbury's (Yes it is becoming my go to beauty bargain and find place - Love it!)  I came across these...

Happy Hair Days - Blueberry and Pear Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner - 300ml
£3.99 each (On offer at £2.66 until May 15th I think)

I was so intrigued as I loved the bottles and the fact that they are SLS/SLES and Paraben free drew me in even more, but then it dawned on me that normally these sorts of shampoos don't lather and the conditioners never seem to condition so would these be another bunch of products that I end up throwing to the back of the bathroom cabinet. I then thought they are only £2.66 so I might as well try them as I love the idea of using shampoos and conditioners without them I just like to have my hair feeling clean after.

After smelling them all for what seemed like forever and squealing over every single fragrance (Coconut and Marshmallow for Colour, Lemongrass and Basil for Glossing, Rosemary and Mint for Thickening, Pomegranate and Ginger for Moisturising, Blueberry and Pear for Smoothing) I decided it was a toss up between the moisturising or the smoothing, I finally settled on the smoothing anyway.

I was so excited to try them out that I actually washed my hair 2 days earlier than planned and as soon as I had got in from shopping and I was pleasantly surprised!
The shampoo lathered up so well, felt really smooth and glossy as I wash rubbing it all over my hair plus it rinsed out really easy. The conditioner was gorgeous too really thick, creamy and moisturising it felt like every single strand of hair was covered in creamy goodness plus it rinsed out easily leaving no residue.

How the shampoo lathered up (only a penny sized used here)

Dollop of conditioner

My hair was left completely tangle free as I combed it through while wet and also once dry my hair was soft, smooth and de-frizzed with a lovely scent of Blueberry and Pear that certainly lingered around for about 2 days!

I think after using this I am definitely going to buy the glossing one or the moisturising one.

What do you guys think about SLS/SLES and Paraben free shampoos/conditioners? Were you under the same impression as me that they don't lather as well? Will you be trying any of these out?

Ahava Mineral Botanical - Velvet and Micro Peeling Cream Wash

Hey Girls!

So I have been trying out these two cream washes from Ahava a company that specialises in Dead Sea Mineral Products.

Velvet Cream Wash - 500ml £15.00

What Ahava say - 'Your skin is for life – protect it well. Ahava Mineral Botanic is a body wash free of harsh detergents, prepared with healthy Dead Sea minerals, sunflower oil and organic plant extracts. That is why its foam is different and more velvety than regular soaps. Work with a sponge for a richer lather and let the soothing blend of Orange & Frangipani revive your skin with their refreshing, moisturising and antioxidant properties. Love your skin. SLS/SLES free, Paraben free, Approved for sensitive skin and Allergy tested'

What I say - The first thing I noticed was the smell its a really nice orangy refreshing smell, perfect for my morning shower! I then noticed how creamy it was as I applied it to my skin it actually felt like a moisturiser that was lathering up in to nice tiny silky bubbles, plus a little goes a long way. It left me feeling refreshed but not as soft as I had hoped it would of from the texture of the actual wash but it didn't dry me out just left my skin feeling normal, it also didn't linger on my skin afterwards which I was a bit disappointed about too. I love the fact that it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals though so you don't feel like you are being stripped or have that film like residue left on your skin.

Micro-Peeling Cream Wash - 500ml - £15.00

What Ahava say - 'Your skin is for life - protect it well. Ahava Mineral Botanic is a body wash free of harsh detergents, prepared with Dead Sea minerals, sunflower oil and olive and apricot seed powder for gentle peeling. That is why its foam is different and more velvety than regular soaps. Work with a sponge for richer lather and let the unique composition of Water Lily & Guarana protect your skin with their moisturising, soothing and stimulating properties. Love your skin. SLS/SLES free, Paraben free, Approved for sensitive skin and Allergy tested'

What I say - I am just going to come right out and say that I LOVE IT!! First off the smell is what I would describe clean, creamy and fresh but maybe that's what Water Lily's and Guarana smell like but I wouldn't have a clue about that. (I have used this with my hands and with my exfoliating gloves and each time have achieved the same results as I am about to tell you) This lathers up the same as the Velvet cream wash with the tiny silky bubbles but also has loads of lovely little scrubby bits in it that I could feel really working away at  my skin, the only downside to this one is the fact it is quite runny so be careful not to squeeze to hard or you will have way too much product plus a little really does go a long way with these.
It left my skin feeling the softest I have ever felt it after coming out of a shower/bath, I was possibly even softer than after I moisturise... I have never felt my skin like this before ever!
The scent also stayed around with this one which is surprising seeing as the Velvet cream wash has more of a stronger smell but it was so nice to get whiffs of fresh, clean and creamy throughout the day.

Once I run out of the Micro-Peeling cream wash I will definitely buy another one as it is gorgeous plus I can see it lasting a very long time so I wont mind the £15.00 price tag but I will not be buying the other, maybe the reason I don't like it as much is because I had tried the Micro-Peeling cream wash first so had extra high hopes for it but they are both nice products but just with the scrub coming out trumps for me personally.

You can buy both of these from the Ahava website

What do you guys think of these? Are you wanting to try them out?

(These products were sent to me for the purpose of review, just because they were free it no way sways my opinion)

Hey my little petals!

So last week I placed an order over at Dainty Roses and I thought I would share with you what I got..

They came perfectly wrapped in tissue and with a cute little touch of a peg attaching my note :)

This one had a cute little badge, seriously how cute does it actually get?!!

Lovely notes from Lisa

Veronica and Sophia Rosey Bows

Rosey Pink and Dorothy Rosey Bows

I am in love with this, just call me the girl with flowers in her hair ;)

I am so pleased with my order, Lisa is very efficient and takes great care and detail in packaging all the items.
My orders arrived quickly and all intact, I love the fact that all the way through ordering, waiting and even after receiving my items Lisa is always contactable and checks to make sure everything is fine, that to me is an excellent little touch and one of the many reasons I will be ordering from her again.

I love everything I got, I really couldn't be happier and my hair is now happy hair to be able to spend time rolling around in the flowers :)

You guys should deffo go and check out Dainty Roses Shop and also Lisa's Blog

Lets Have Some Fun In The Sun!!

Hey Girlies!

What a beautiful day it is today :)
I have been up since 7am and have practically done everything I have needed to do by now so I thought I would sit down and write up a little blog post for y'all!

Now that the weather is getting warmer I have been 'sunning up' my make up with flashes of bright colours here and there that have been making me feel like holidays and cocktails, my favourite at the moment is flashes of bright eyeshadows used as an eye liner and the thing I have been using the most is this bad boy...

Sleek Paraguaya Palette from the Avoir la peche collection

This is so perfect for embracing the sunny days, it is just like summer in a palette!

Here are my eyes today...

I used Parfait and Persian Orange on the lid and then used Peach Gold as the liner, I have really been loving using this palette I barely use anything else now!

If you wanna know what the rest of my make up is here's a list -

Rimmel 25 Hour Foundation
Avon Face Powder
Beauty UK Blusher
Mac Creme Cup
Elf HD Powder

Yes I know my hair is straight but it is only blowdried like that as I dyed my roots this morning and then pulled the colour through the rest of the hair so had to blowdry it straight to check the colour thoroughly but still no straighteners :)

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your gorgeous sunny days!

Myface Cosmetics Smokey Eye Kit

Hey Girls!

So 2 Fridays ago I was lucky enough to win Myface Cosmetics Friday Freebies competition on Twitter and this is what I got..

Black Mascara
Black Eye Pencil
Eyetouch Eyeshadows in Midnight Hour

Mascara Wand

Eyeshadows

Eyeshadow Swatches

Eye Pencil Swatch

I have been using these a lot since they popped through my door and I really like them!

The mascara is amazing and leaves my lashes really nice and full, its non clumpy and doesn't flake like most! Its a good contender against my favourite mascara ever SuperShock from Avon which is saying something seeing as I have never found a mascara I have liked so much since trying that.

The pencil is really creamy and draws a really good line on the upper lashes, it is also really good on the waterline. It gives really good pigmentation and also really good staying power without smudging.

The eyeshadows are really nice and pigmented although the white does create quite a bit of fall out, my favourite one out of the 3 has to be the grey/silver middle colour which I have just been wearing all over my lid.

All in all I am really impressed with them and seeing as I have never tried anything from Myface Cosmetics before these were good at introducing me into them, now I really want to try more :)

Have you ever used Myface Cosmetics Makeup? What do I need to have from them?

Let me know

Sleek - True Colour Lipstick!

Hey Girls!

So today I was in Superdrug buying my hair dye as my roots need doing so badly when I had to take a detour to the make up section as you do and have a nose, then it all started calling my name and I caved on buying!

So I only got 2 items as they were on an offer I couldn't resist :)

Sleek True Colour Lipstick £3.99 Each or 2 for £6.00 in Superdrug at the moment.
(I really hate the way Superdrug insist on sellotaping the tags on to everything!)

The colours!

Barely There and Peaches and Cream

Barely There (Top)
Peaches and Cream (Bottom)

I have been seeing these around a lot lately and really wanted to try them, they have different variations including Sheen, Matte and Amped.
I chose sheen ones as one I love the way a sheen lipstick looks and also these were the colours I had fallen in love with, I tried Peaches and Cream on and it feels really nice on the lips plus very moisturising! Although I can't comment on wear or anything yet so will let you guys know in the near future :)

Have you tried Sleeks True Colour Lipsticks? Any you have your eye on?
Will you be picking any up?

Lush Lovin'

Hey my little cheepy chicks!

So a week has gone since my last Lush Lovin' post seriously how quick was that?

So as you all know Easter is approaching and Lush have some little cute ballistics just for the occasion, one I have been lusting over since I saw him on mothers day is this little guy....

Hippy Chick

Fizzing about working his magic!

First things first, how cute is he? I wanted to name him Fred but thought if I gave him a name I would never use him so decided against it.

I used him in the morning as he has a really zingy invigorating scent perfect for waking me up when I just want to head straight back to bed and hibernate! He fizzed about letting the most amazing aromas out of him, I was stood there in a zingtacious smelling bathroom with my bleary eyes awakening.

The only downside to him is he leaves no colourful bath and I have become accustomed to my Lush baths being colourful, he leaves the water feeling silky and a really nice zesty smell lingering on my skin :)

Go get one before they leave the shelves :)
