Lush Lovin' - Fizzbanger

Hi guys!!

So it has been ages since I did a Lush Lovin' but that's because I have just been buying the same products from there so haven't really had anything new and exciting to blog about until I picked up this little beauty...

Fizzbanger - £2.99

Working its magic

Now first off the smell that comes off this before you even place it in the water is absolutely amazing, its like a warm toffee apple that you know is just going to soothe and warm you up, which is something I feel I have been needing with this lousy weather we have been having.

Once you place it in the bath the most amazing warm smelling smell of cinnamon and apple seems to come through, but be warned this is one of them slow burning bath ballistics so it takes a while to fully dissolve. It also has what sounded like popping candy in it so as it dissolved in the bath there was an array of snaps and crackles, followed by the ever changing colour of the water which went from yellow, green, blue and then a really deep bluey green.

The water felt so soft against the skin and you could tell that it was one of them bath bombs that was going to leave you feeling silky soft and that it did.

Over all I like this a lot so next time I am passing by Lush I will be grabbing me a couple more of these babies!

Have you tried this one? Whats your favourite ballistic?

Lets Paint Some Pouts!

Hello you beautiful bunch!

I bought these a little while ago and have only gotten around to telling you all about them now.

Sleek Pout Paints - £4.99 Each
L-R Milkshake, Pinkini, Peek-a-Bloo

Milkshake, Pinkini and Peek-a-Bloo

Milkshake

Milkshake

Pinkini

Pinkini

Peek-a-Bloo

Peek-a-Bloo aka Scary Avatar Lips

Mix of the 3

Now I see a ton of reviews about these and to be honest the only reason why I picked them up was because I was intrigued by them plus they were 3 for 2 in Superdrug at the time.

I have to say I am not the greatest fan of them as I just think they are messy and just a bit faffy too, yes its appealing that they can be mixed together to make your own unique shades, the colour pay off is amazing and the lasting ability is really good but for some reason I still don't like them.

I also noticed that Milkshake was very watery compared to the other shades which made it even more messy than it should of been and boy do these things stain especially Pinkini which I still had a reminder of on my hand after swatching for a good day afterwards no matter how many times I scrubbed at it.

What do you guys think of these? Over hyped or a good thing?

PS... I wanted to tell you all that everything in my shop is £1.00 for the Bank Holiday so make sure you pop over and grab a bargain, just click HERE and it will take you straight there!

Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint

Hello you beautiful bunch!

I feel like I've been away from my blog for what seems forever but that's what you get when work is calling your name and you are just too tired to do anything once you get in.

I know you guys have probably read quite a few of these reviews but I thought I would chuck my my two pennies worth in too as in my opinion you can never have too many reviews before you go and part your hard earned cash on a product.

Sheer Skin Tint - 40ml - £21

Shade 2 - Beige

Shade 2 - Beige

Before

After

Now as you all know I am a lover of Liz Earle and swear by my Cleanse and Polish so when I was asked if I would like to try the new Skin Tint I jumped at the chance to see what the Liz Earle team could throw up in the increasing make up market.

The Sheer Skin Tint is Liz Earles first offering from their Colour Range and I have to say they have come up trumps with this little beauty, not a day has gone by since this popped through my letter box that I have not used it. The formula is very creamy and seems to glide on and sink into the skin effortlessly leaving an even dewy look. Although for people who have oily skin this could make them look a little over greasy but I am sure its nothing a touch of powder couldn't solve. It also contains SPF15 which is an added bonus because its keeping them harmful rays from getting to you.

To support Liz Earles 'Progress not Perfection' environmental values and their Reduce, Re-use, Recycle' campaign, when customers order the Skin Tint by mail they are providing samples of all 3 shades so that you can ensure that you are buying the right shade for you before you open the full sized product which I think is a fantastic idea because lets be honest we all have at least 2 products that are too dark or light for us cluttering up the place.

Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint launches on Thursday the 8th of September and retails for £21 for a 40ml tube, if you want to pre-order it you can do so here.

Will you be buying this? What do you think of Liz Earles new offering?

We All Want Our 15 Minutes Of Fame!!

Hello you gorgeous lot!

As you all know I am a massive lipstick junkie and when it comes to them my motto is the brighter the better, so when I was in Superdrug last week and came across the Famous by Sue Moxley stand I knew I had to grab a couple for the simple reason they were calling my name plus EVERYTHING was half price!!

Be Mine

Coral Reef

I picked up Be Mine and Coral Reef and these were a mere £2 each on the half price offer but even at £4 these are an amazing bargain!
I was instantly drawn to them by the packaging, I love the way the lipstick is housed inside the whole of the lid and how it has a little ribbon on the end. I just don't think I have seen something like it before.

They smell exactly like Sleeks Pout Polishes and have the most silky moisturising feel to them, plus they last for a good couple of hours as I have been wearing these at work all week!

I also love how Be Mine seems to be a sheerer version of MAC's Vegas Volt even though it still has loads of colour pay off, so if you are thinking of getting Vegas Volt you could easily try this out for a fraction of the price to see if you like the colour.

Overall I am really impressed with these and will be going back to buy a few more along with a few other bits from the range as I already love their bronzers.

Have you tried anything from the Famous range? What do you think of these?

Famous by Sue Moxley Baked Bronzer in Bali

Hello you gorgeous bunch!

Lately I have been loving the bronzed look, it makes me feel healthy and like my skin is alive plus a tan with added bronzing is totally setting off the colour of my hair right now!

I seem to have fallen in love with this little gem I bought a couple of months back...

When I first bought this I did so intending for it to be a blush as you can see it has quite a pinky look to it so I was very surprised when I tried it and it came out a complete difference to what it looks like in the pan but I have to say I love this, from the packaging with the mirror in the lid right down to the actual product!

It seems to be a hybrid of a bronzer with the added benefit of being a blusher, its a gorgeous golden peach which seems to brighten up my whole face along with adding a bronzed look to it, I just go a tad heavier on the cheeks and it looks like I have used two different products.

It has no fallout and also has the most gorgeous sheen to it, unlike some cheaper products that can be full of shimmer and make you look like a glitter ball. I also love that the lid is a screw lid so its great for when you are travelling about as you know its not going to open up and get broken.

You can buy these in Superdrug for £6.00 but I got this at a bargain for £4.00 when they had money off selected lines.

Have you tried any of the Famous range?

E.L.F Matte Lip Colour

Hi Guys!

So when the guys at E.L.F sent me the Foundation they also sent me one of their Matte Lip Colour Pencils (I actually have a E.L.F haul to share with you guys, or I might just do a few reviews on the bits I got when they were 50% off as I have been using it all).

I have to say I am impressed with this lip pencil overall, I love the colour although not the type of Coral I was expecting it is a gorgeous shade verging more on the Pink side. It applies easily seemingly gliding over your lips and I think the matte finish that it gives off is not that sucked in prune lipped effect but instead a moisturised dryness if that makes any sense?!.
I've been wearing this on the days when I have done very little with my make up and just want to keep everything simple, I have also been popping a slick of clear gloss over the top just to add a nice glossy sheen because as we know I am not a massive fan of matte lips so can face wearing them every time I want to adorn this colour.

The pencil itself is a twist up one which houses quite a lot of product but you have to be careful with it as it regularly seems to catch the side of the actual product taking bits along with it as you twist up and down, the lid also stays on really securely which is great for when you have it out and about with you as you know its not going to get broken or draw all over the inside of your bag.

What do you think of these? Have you tried them?
Where do you stand on the whole matte lips?

P.S... I have another blog called Did You Say Charli... Its just where I post more life posts so if you want to come and have a nose feel free to pop over!

E.L.F Flawless Finish Foundation

Hey Girls!!

So a little while ago I was sent the new Flawless Finish Foundation from E.L.F to try out and here is what I thought of it...

Shade Sand

Shade Sand

Before - So sorry I had to inflict this picture on you guys!

After - No powder, just popped a bit of mascara on as my lashes looked non existent!

Now I love the bottle of this foundation, its a nice frosted glass with a pump so its easy for dispensing the foundation and not wasting any but the foundation itself I am not sure if I am too keen on.

When I first used it I used my fingers as I like to feel how a foundation feels, to me it felt a tad sticky and I noticed that the more I blended with my fingers the shade got lighter and lighter to a point where it no longer resembled the shade in the bottle but one of about 2 or 3 shades lighter which I found odd. I then tried it with my Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki and it was a different story, the shade seemed to remain the same so I am thinking maybe it had something to do with the warmth of my fingers?.

I would say the foundation itself is a medium coverage foundation and as you can see from my before and after pictures it does quite a good job, but my face still felt very sticky afterwards and damp if that makes any sense. After applying a powder over the top the damp sticky feeling did go but it still felt a bit uncomfortable for a little while, but I held out and the feeling went within about 20-30 minutes.

It lasted between 4-6 hours which isn't the greatest but also isn't the worst I have tried, the smell is also really nice. I don't think I would personally buy this foundation but I think that's personally down to the way I like my foundation to look and feel on my skin, plus I like to have foundations that I don't have to powder if I am in a hurry etc.

Have you tried this yet? Do you like it?

Love to hear what you think

St Tropez Sun Protection

Hey Girls!!

How are you all? Hasn't this weather been AMAZING? (Well it has in London) I have been outside sunning myself on my trusty sun lounger and the sun protection of choice I have been reaching for....

St Tropez!

SPF 30 Body  with Tan Enhancer - 150ml  - £20.00
and
SPF 30 Face with Tan Enhancer - 50ml - £15.00

L-R - Body and Face

L-R - Body and Face

Now the reason behind why this is my Sun Protection of choice is just simply because it was either grab this and slap it on or grab one I have from Avon that seems to stick to my skin like glue leaving that lovely white hue, plus I thought ah it has tan enhancers so at least I will go sublimely bronzed!

Now I have had this for a good couple of months and never used it, I got it when I went to a St Tropez event and actually forgot about it especially seeing as we seem to be having a lack of sun for what we like to call Summer. I did slap a bit on when I went to Wireless but that was nothing to go by to be able to review it but now I have been using it a lot I can.

St Tropez say - This luxurious and nourishing lotion simply melts into the skin, helping to protect you from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Formulated with MELANOBRONZE, an innovative ingredient which helps stimulate melanin production, to help enhance your tan naturally. Leaves skin feeling hydrated and softened
with the addition of Muru Muru butter and antioxidant rich Vitamin E.

Now it is a gorgeous sun cream, it actually feels like a moisturiser and the smell is like holidays but fresh creamy holidays if that makes any sense?! Not your normal overly powerful Coconut scented ones or the other fake chemically smells you get with most sun creams.

Now I really like the body one but the face one is a tad too heavy for me so I just pop the body one on my face, I am not to sure if these 'Tan Enhancers' actually work as I don't notice much difference but I tan well anyway.
I also think at £20 for the body SPF and £15 for the face SPF is on the higher side of Sun Care, I definitely wouldn't pay £15 for the face one... I actually wouldn't buy it at all!.
But the body I have fallen in love with, plus I haven't even made a dent in the bottle I have yet which means that the lasting ability of a bottle is really good as it glides on so smoothly.

If this weather carries on or I am miraculously transported on holiday somewhere I will without a doubt purchase this and if not then next summer I will be cracking out the good old St Tropez SPF!
