Basically less than 2 weeks growth there!! I'm just in that weird stage of not knowing what I want to do with it now winter is fast approaching us.

E.L.F Elements Palette

Hey girls!

We all know how E.L.F love to have some sort of promotion/sale/offer/code type thing going on at one time or another so you can always grab a bargain, now I love E.L.F as much as the next person but just find that I sometimes end up buying things from them that I don't really want just for the fact its cheap and I need to get that order price up to use said code or get free delivery too!

Now this Elements Palette along with its contents was one of them things I grabbed to try and bulk out my order. I had no intention of really using it, I only really wanted to see what it was like and I thought I can always give it to an unwilling little sister who I am trying to make like make up just so I have someone to share my love in all things cosmetics but alas I have actually grown quite fond of this little beauty.

Top - Bottom L-R - Mocha, Golden Glow, Wisteria and Sage

Top - Bottom L-R - Mocha, Golden Glow, Wisteria and Sage

I haven't had it for long but I have had it for long enough to say that I don't want to give it away and I am sure I will get a lot of use out of it especially Mocha and Golden Glow.

I actually really like the actual Elements Palette, I like the fact its not your traditional black packaging and that it has a rather large mirror inside unlike some palettes that have literally a strip in them. I also like the fact that you get to choose what you put in your palette, choosing from Eyes, Lips or Face products. I personally chose 4 eyeshadows in the shades Mocha, Golden Glow, Wisteria and Sage as I thought these would be the best things to try and were the only things that caught my eye.

You buy everything separately with Elements on E.L.F so its customised by you, plus the bonus is they are all just £1.50 each..... Even the palette!.
I bought mine during their 50% off offer so got everything for 75p making my palette cost me a mere £3.75 which is a total utter bargain especially after I used them I realised how big a one it was.

They are all so pigmented and have a really buttery consistency with a little going a long way, I am so impressed with them which is something as a lot of E.L.F's £1.50 range actually disappoints me so I stick to the studio line when I do order but I am so glad I popped these in my basket and will definitely be making myself another one when E.L.F have another offer (Although I read there will never be a 50% off one again, sad times).

Have you bought one of these palettes? Used the eyeshadows?

Lee Stafford - Blow Dry Your Hair Faster Wonder Spray

I have been a massive fan of Lee Stafford for as long as I can remember, he is without a doubt one of my favourite Hairdressers and also a massive reason as to why I had wanted to be a Hairdresser too. Seriously the amount of talent this man has I could talk about all day, the way he works with hair, his ideas, his salons.... Ah I am having a serious fan girl moment here.
I am also a massive fan of his hair products too, I have been for years with Shine Head Spray Shine and Hot Shots 2 Minute Miracle Repair being my favourites! Although now there is now a new firm favourite in my Lee Stafford product loves...

Blow Dry Your Hair Faster Wonder Spray

First off the packaging for me is just amazing its pink, girly and in a can meaning if you drop this its not going to break. I also like the fact that it has an aerosol type spray but it isn't an aerosol, meaning its very unlikely that it will leak if it's on its side.

It claims that it reduces the time it takes to blow dry your and I can 100% say it does in fact I think the only down side to this product is the long name it has, seriously it is a mouthful but states exactly what it does and what it is in the name so you can't actually fault it for that.

It normally takes me a good 20-25 minutes to make sure my hair is completely dry when blow drying and no I'm not talking a fancy blow dry I am talking blasting it with the dryer with a brush in my hand, my hair retains so much water that when it feels dry you have to just give it and extra squeeze just to see that its still damp. This actually cut my drying time down to 8 minutes, I put my timer on and that's what it was 8 whole minutes to be completely dry!! (well 8 minutes and 6 seconds if you want to be exact) Saving me a massive 12-17 minutes. I am still in shock now as to how quick it is to dry my hair and it wasn't just a fluke because I have noticed every time I have washed my hair and used this it takes next to no time to dry and my hair feels smoother, softer and more manageable.

It smells so great too, to me its that typical Lee Stafford scent I can't really describe it but its really nice.
Its also packed full of other ingredients that help detangle your hair when wet, improve the smoothness of your hair plus heat protection to protect up to 220C and a little bit of hold to help keep your style.

Overall this is a fantastic product and I will re-buy it as soon as I need to.

Have you tried this? What do you think of it?

Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask

Hellooooo!

How are you all? I am so glad its the weekend as I have been needing a rest from the exhausting week I have had, its getting to that time at work where there's so much more to do than there is hours in the day! Then as soon as the students come back its going to be a hectic mess, although I am really looking forward to running the Freshers Fair stall again.

A little while ago the lovely team at Liz Earle sent me their Brightening Treatment Mask so I thought I would just let you guys know how I have got on with it, as Liz Earle are fast becoming a company that to me seem can do no wrong when it comes to their products.

The Brightening Treatment Mask claims that whenever you need a pick-me-up you can depend on this to give you a quick fix as in just a few minutes it leaves your skin radiant and revitalised.

Now I love this product but with one exception. I love the fact that it does what it says, making my skin look much brighter, less tired and my skin feeling really soft but the exception is the smell.
I know all Liz Earle products have that natural smell about them and normally I am fine with that with an exception to one other product in their range but with this the smell is really off putting, it reminds me of a Vac and Shake (Do you know what I'm on about?) but then I think it is only on my face for two minutes so I can deal with it as once you wash it off the smell goes so not one to use if I am feeling a little fragile in the morning after the night before.

The mask itself has a very creamy texture which applies great onto the skin and with ingredients like Aloe Vera, White Clay, Witch Hazel, Camphor Oil, Green Mineral Silt and Almond Oil its no wonder that it works a treat. You do experience a slight tingling when it is on and this is warned that it may occur on the actual bottle so because of this they recommend that it wouldn't be suitable for sensitive skin.

You use this a bit like Cleanse and Polish, massaging it onto the skin and then removing it with a muslin cloth. Although with this you leave it between 30 seconds and 2 minutes as it is a mask and not a cleanser so should be applied onto clean, dry skin.

You can buy this on the Liz Earle website and its priced at £12.75 for a 50ml bottle or £13.50 for the Starter Kit (50ml bottle and a Muslin Cloth)

Have you tried this? Do you want to?

Let me know!

A Moment On The Lips

Hello you gorgeous bunch!

I first of all wanted to say thanks for commenting on the post I did earlier, nice to know you girls understand why I am not about so much without me having to give too much away about something so personal.

Now we all love a good blog sale don't we? I know I do and I love finding a good little bargain so when Ann (Girlinthecity) had one a little while ago I snapped up these 2 lippies as I have always wanted to try Accessorize's Lipsticks.

Accessorize Lipsticks £5 Each from Superdrug

Sparkly!!

and

First off let me start with the packaging, I absolutely adore it! I think it has to be the cutest thing in the world, with the little Accessorize branding with the Butterfly down to the sparkly gem on the top. Call me tacky but we all love a bit of bling don't we? And this seems to make this one something that's girly and fun.

I love the colours too but I am swayed more towards Pink Pleasure as to me it seems to be a hybrid of pink, orange and red with a slight corally hue to it, does that even make sense? I love it.

The lipsticks themselves are very moisturising and glide on easily, with perfect coverage with just one swipe. I think next time I'm in Superdrug I will have a nose at the rest of the lipsticks Accessorize have to offer because these have impressed me so far and seeing as I am a massive fan of their Blushers and Bronzers its always nice to add something else to the list.

Have you tried Accessorize's Lipsticks? Do you want to try them?

Let me know!

Sometimes I Don't Know Where I've Been

Hey Girls!

I know you're all probably shocked to be seeing a blog post from me seeing as they have seem to become a very non occurring thing, so I wanna say sorry for that. This isn't due to the fact that I don't love my blog or the fact I have lost my blogging mojo its just simply down to me.
Not a lot of you will know but I am not well, its nothing bad and I'm not going to drop down dead tomorrow because its to do with my mental health... Something that most people find a taboo to write about or mention but sod it I am what I am and I can't help that.
I've just been quite ill recently a whole flurry of ups and downs, not being able to concentrate and not being able to remember what I did 2 seconds ago let alone remember the details of a fantastic product I have found so you are all going to have to bare with me while I'm having this episode of erratic behaviour.

I would love to say that blogging will be back to normal as soon as possible but there is no time scale on when this will end, its been going on for about 2 and a half months now with no sign of it stopping any time soon but today I feel good and have a whole free day so I am going to try and write up a few posts while my mind will let me.

MUA Extreme Volume Mascara

Hey Girls!

I'm gonna bring you guys another MUA review today because I know that you guys love a good bargain!

MUA Extreme Volume Mascara - £2.00

MUA Extreme Volume Mascara in Brown/Black

L-R No mascara - 2 Coats of MUA Extreme Volume

L-R No mascara - 2 Coats of MUA Extreme Volume

L-R No mascara - 2 Coats of MUA Extreme Volume

This mascara came along with the Eye Trios I spoke about in my last post when the guys sent me some bits after being at TOWIB. I was a bit dubious as to whether or not I would use the mascara because I am a massive lover of Avon mascaras and am a dedicated user of their SuperShock one every day.

But I decided I would try it out all in the name of the blog and all ;)

My first thoughts on it was that I like the fact that it just has plain black packaging with silver writing, I am not really one for fussy packaging to me its the product that counts.

The mascara claims that it 'magnifies lashes for a spectacular false-lash effect' now to me it doesn't seem to do that but it does add a good amount of colour and length to them. I like to use this on days when I am not doing much with my eyes and my make up is rather natural, as I think it gives a less impact eye compared to my usual mascara.

I also really like the fact that its got a big brush and also is quite a dry mascara, not in the way that there's no product there but it seems to give you just the right amount. I know one of my pet hates is runny mascaras and when you're applying them they seem to go everywhere, normally the case with cheap mascaras but with this one its the perfect consistency for me.

This is fast becoming my go to work mascara as it lasts all day, doesn't smudge and also doesn't clump, giving me just what I need while I am there.

I am not ready to give up my fail safe SuperShock mascara just yet but this has definitely made me see that there are other mascaras out there and that maybe I shouldn't be afraid of trying them as I might find another I love just as much.

What do you think of it? Have you tried any of the MUA mascaras?

MUA Trio Eyeshadows

Hey you beautiful bunch!

A little while ago when I attended TOWIB (The only way is blogging) where I met the lovely girls from MUA and they were very kind enough to send me a few bits to try out from their Pro Range, so I just thought I would share my thoughts on these little beauties.

MUA Trio Eyeshadows - £2.50 each

Blue Babe and Pink Sorbet

Out of the two I prefer the pink as I think they are more wearable for me and as always with MUA eyeshadows they are so soft, almost buttery with really good pigmentation, they do have a bit of fallout but I think its hard to find a product that doesn't now days.

For me the lasting power of them is not as good as some of their shadows in the £1 core range even when wearing a primer but they still have good lasting ability, so maybe not one for a special occasion or hard night partying but for work and daytime wear I have found them really good.

Overall I do like these and want to grab a few more of them.... Eden, Chocolate Box and Innocence to name a few! I also love how they all come with 2 darker shades and a highlight shade so you can either create an overall look or use them separately.

What do you think of the MUA Pro Range? Have you got any of these? How did you find them?

Let me know.

Putting The Best To The Test!

Hola mi chicas!

How are you all today? I have been awake for what seems like forever!!

When I was doing my make up yesterday I noticed that the Sue Moxley Famous Bronzer I have been using recently reminded me of something I have and love.... So off I popped to find it and do a lot of swatching and comparing.

What are these two products I hear you ask?

Famous by Sue Moxley Baked Bronzer - £6.00
MAC MSF - £20.50

MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle - 10g - £20.50
Famous by Sue Moxley Baked Bronzer in Miami - 9g - £6.00

MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle

Famous by Sue Moxley Baked Bronzer in Miami

L-R
MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle
Famous by Sue Moxley Baked Bronzer in Miami

MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle
Famous by Sue Moxley Baked Bronzer in Miami

Now the similarity between these two for me is astounding, first off they are both baked products and both are such soft powders too. There is also barely any size difference, 1g in fact and with a price difference of £14.50 I could live without that extra 1g of product that MAC has.

I know that the MAC MSF has a slightly more pinky gold hue to it opposed to the Famous more paler champagne colour but there is really not much difference at all and they both leave a lovely finish on the skin, highlighting the cheeks especially well.

Now I love my MSF to pieces and it never seems to get a dent in it no matter how much I use it but after finding that the Famous one is almost exactly the same I don't think I will be getting another MSF any time soon but instead using the cash I saved on buying lipstick :)

I also looked up the ingredients of both of them and a lot of it was the same.

For those of you who don't know the Famous by Sue Moxley range can be bought in Superdrug and at the moment it is all half price (think I read until October) so you could grab yourself an even bigger bargain by getting this for £3

I'm In The Nude!

Hello you beautiful bunch!

Sleek bought out their long awaited 'Nude Collection' in August and I have seen so many posts covering the eyeshadow palette, but for me the stand out item in this collection has to be the blush in Suede.

L-R Lightly Swatched - Heavily Swatched

As soon as I saw the nude collection I knew I would want it so as soon as it was out I trotted on down to Superdrug to grab the whole thing, but while there and swatching a few bits I decided that the pout polish was not worth my money so just picked up the eyeshadow palette and the blush.

On first impressions I thought I was going to love the palette a lot more than the blush, then the most amazing thing happened.... I loved the blush more!

I find it to be perfect for just adding that touch of colour to you that says yeah I have make up on but I don't want it to be in your face plus it is also perfect for contouring, so all in all it can be used a multipurpose product.

I say if you haven't yet bought anything from this collection but are thinking of grabbing something just grab the blush, the eyeshadow palette has a good few colours but nothing you wouldn't really find in their other palettes if you have them and the rest of them lack pigmentation.... As for the pout polish don't get me started on how useless I think it is, just save your cash and buy a tub of Vaseline its going to somewhat give you the same effect.

What do you think of Sleeks Nude Collection? Bought it yet or giving it a miss?
