My Skincare Saviours...

I suffer from red and dark patches that seem to grace my cheeks every so often and also get really bad dry patches on my cheeks and just above my eyebrows. But since I've been using these products I've got to a point where I have started to feel OK about my skin, gone are the days where I can't bare to look in the mirror because I look a mottled mess and the overall appearance of my skin is somewhat glowing compared to the drab greyness it used to have.

My Skincare Saviours....

Cleansers..

Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity - I have been using this since I got the huge gift set at Christmas that Boots always have, this is actually my second one though as I had fallen in love with it that much. It's a really refreshing wash and although it has little beads in it I actually don't think they are there to add any sort of exfoliation as they seem to break so they must have that 'skin brightening complex' in them that Soap & Glory says this has. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and doesn't seem to dry it out at all.

Angels On Bare Skin - I did a review on this last year (here) and I still love it as much today as I did back then, I think this has got to be about my 6th one of these pots, although over time the smell has definitely changed to one of a more Lavender smelling one apposed to the creamy almondy light Lavender it used to be the cleanser is still fab and in my opinion exactly the same as it always was. I use this every single day and it leaves my skin feeling amazing.

I use these in the morning, normally mixing and matching between the two depending on how my skin is feeling in the morning.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - I use this every single night without fail, it takes my make up off so easily especially eye make up and also leaves my skin feeling absolutely amazing. I did a review on it (here) if you would like to read it.

Exfoliator

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator - I have been using this for about 6 weeks now and the bottle is still going strong, baring in mind that I use this every other day or so. It is such a creamy sort of exfoliator that has what I can only describe as beads instead of harsh scratchy pieces that most exfoliators have in them, they seem to massage your skin but you can really feel them working. It leaves my skin feeling soft and really clean after using it.

Creams

Soap & Glory Wish upon a Jar - My love for this is actually overwhelming! It is such a nice product and smells absolutely amazing with the typical pink scent of Soap & Glory products, its a thickish cream that absorbs into the skin quickly but it also have very fine shimmer particles in it that gives the skin an illuminated look. It plumps out my skin making it feel moisturised and I have also noticed that my skin looks instantly better, flaws are less noticeable and the few little fine lines I have around my eyes and mouth seem to of disappeared.

L'Occitane Ultra Rich Face Cream - This has got to be one of the most moisturising luxurious feeling creams I have ever put on my face. It has 25% Shea Butter in it which I think makes it a little too heavy to wear during the day although some days I have when my skin has been feeling very dry and tight with all the silly weather we have been having in the UK, the cream is so thick and a little goes a long way with it absorbing into the skin really well. I wake up with my skin feeling soft, moisturised and looking a whole lot better without any sort of greasy residue I know some creams in the past have left behind.

Have you tried any of these? What are your skincare saviours?

  10. Soap and Glory are fantastic, I'm looking to get the warming mask soon as I have quite greasy, spot-prone skin, I noticed you posted about it a few months ago too. I have the Face Scrub pictured above but I haven't really used it (I also got the big Boots goody bag!) But the Hand cream is all gone!
