Im On Holiday!!

Helloooooo!!!

So this is just a quick post as this has been a little bit of a whirlwind week, that started with a lunch on Tuesday, a call to Spain and some prompt flight booking all within about 3 hours which has ended in me leaving to go on holiday in about 7 hours!

So I will not be blogging for the next week and a bit, but I shall be back to it as soon as I get home!

Don't miss me too much ;)

Loads of Love

MAC Crosswires

A couple of weeks ago I asked on Twitter a suggestion for a new lipstick from MAC and the lovely Hayley suggested Crosswires, so when I was in MAC I knew I had to swatch it and that was it I was sold...

Crosswires is a Cremesheen formula which for me is actually one of my favourite formulations from MAC aside from Amplified.

It has really good pigmentation and glides on effortlessly, feeling really moisturising on the lips.

For me this lipstick lasts around 4-5 hours before noticing that I really do need to re-apply, overall another beaut of a purchase from MAC that I will no doubt get tons of wear from!.

Naked for Kids 2 in 1 Shampoo - Bananas & Custard

Naked are a brand I have used before but always felt like I couldn't come across them as easily as others so had never got to try many of their products I had wanted to, then I was asked if I would like to review a few products from their range which I of course said yes to. They were kind enough to send over a little something for Tapanga too.

First off let me start by saying how nice this smells, its like a proper sweet treat!

The shampoo is easy to work into a lather and you really don't need a lot of it, I also like the fact that it is Sulphate, Paraben, Silicone and Petrochemical free meaning that no sort of nasties are going to be harming my little munchkin.

It leaves Pangas hair feeling soft and also easier to brush, which is a chore in itself as she has far too much hair and is scared of the hairbrush but after using this she is a little more persuading to get it brushed as she knows shes not going to have tangles yanked out.

Panga says 'It makes my hair smell like desserts, makes it soft and doesn't sting my eyes'

So it gets the thumbs up from me and her!

Have you tried any of the Naked range? Any mums out there tried this for their munchkins?

Illamasqua Lipstick in Eurydice

My love for Lipstick is obviously apparent if you read my blog a lot or have been a long time reader, I love it! I can't get enough of it and I wish I could wear more than one colour on my lips all the time...(I regularly take out at least 3 different lipsticks so I can change up my colours during the day!).
Also you may also of gathered I have a little bit of a major soft spot for Illamasqua, so an Illamasqua Lipstick for me is like the heaven of all heavens in Lipstick Heaven!.

This for me is straight up lipstick porn, its absolutely beautiful! I could sit and stare at it longingly until my eyes couldn't stay open any longer, that is how much I love it.

Eurydice is a matte lipstick but by no means does it feel like its drying out your lips, goes on smoothly and packs one hell of a bright pink colour.

I can also confirm that this lipstick doesn't seem to budge one little bit as I wore it to Capitals Summertime Ball last Saturday, which saw me applying it at around midday and it was still fully in place with only a tiny bit of wear when I arrived home at 1am. The day included lots of drinking, eating and singing.

Paul & Joe Nail Polish in Fairie Queen

The other week I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of Paul & Joe's A Midsummer Nights Dream Collection launch, which I could actually not contain my excitement over... Seriously everything I touched I let out a little gasp as to how pretty it was and all the shimmering sparkles had me sold. One thing I was overly excited about was the nail polishes, they were the most amazing things I have ever seen and I was lucky enough to get this beaut of a polish to take home and try.

Please excuse how awful my nails are, my job seriously gives me no hope with them!

In the above pictures it is worn with W7 Fluorescent Pink Nail Polish (Post here)

The polish itself seems like a gel like polish but not in that gloopy way that I know some of them can be like, it has loads of slithers of glitter in and a good few chunks but by no means leaves your nails feeling at all gritty if anything they are left feeling rather smooth.

This polish combination lasted on me for around 4 days before I started getting any tip wear and then full on chips started on around day six, which I think is absolutely amazing! I've been trying it with every single polish I can get my mitts on and have noticed it goes really well with pale pinks and peaches and also with really dark blues... Makes my fingers look like a twinkling night sky!.

Have you seen any of the Paul & Joe Midsummer Nights Dream Collection? Anything you want from it? I personally am wanting their eyeshadows, blushers and erm... All of it!

Maybelline Colour Sensational Popsticks

When I first saw these I got in a bit of a tizzy because they purely reminded me of these lipstick sweets I used to have as a child... Anyone else remember them? Anyway to cut a long story short I had to have them just purely for how they reminded me of them and lollipops!. Thing is they have really grown on me and I am quite in love with them... Has nothing to do with the smell, honest ;)

First off how yummy do they look? They also smell absolutely divine, with Crystal Pink smelling of Strawberry's and Citrus Slice smelling of Oranges in a totally sweetie way!.

I love the bright pink packaging of them and I love the colours, although these are by no means a pigmented lip product they do leave a little colour sheen to your lips but my camera wasn't picking it up so I decided to leave out the swatches. They are extremely moisturising and leave your lips feeling gorgeously soft but its nothing more than what a tinted lip balm would do so if you would like to save your pennies you don't need to buy into the Popsicle looking gorgeousness of these but yet again we all know I have a problem when it comes to lip products so I just had to!.

Have you tried these?

Bank Holiday!

So I spent the bank holiday weekend staying with one of my best friends up in Leeds, it was a really nice weekend as I also got to see some people I miss very dearly, do a bit of shopping and of course go for a few nights out in town ;) I Just thought I would share a few pics from the weekend and then normal posts will resume as of tomorrow... I know don't look at your screens in shock horror, I will actually be blogging even though I know I've been a tad AWOL lately but there are very good reasons for this just ones I don't really want to divulge into :)

Hope you all had a wonderful bank holiday
